ASM Fitness ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account data: name, email, encrypted password (or Google ID if you sign in via Google), profile photo.
Health & fitness data: birthday, gender, weight, height, fitness goals, injury history (ASM Guard profile), training frequency, available equipment.
Workout data: completed sessions, exercises performed, sets, reps, weights, durations, dates.
Camera images (Equipment Scanner): when you use the Equipment Scanner, the photo you take is sent for processing to identify gym equipment. These images are processed in real time and are not stored by us after the equipment is identified.
Device data: app version, operating system, language, and anonymized crash and stability reports (provided automatically by Google Play).
Subscription data: if you purchase ASM PRO, billing is handled by Google Play. We do not see your full payment details — only your subscription status.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and personalize your training plan
- Identify gym equipment from photos you submit via the Equipment Scanner
- Track your progress and performance over time
- Show workout history, stats, and personal records
- Send workout reminders (only if you enable them)
- Process subscription payments via Google Play
- Improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following providers to operate the app. They process data only on our behalf or to provide a specific feature:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Google (Sign-in) — optional account sign-in via OAuth
- Google Gemini API — processes Equipment Scanner photos to identify gym equipment. Images are sent only when you actively use the scanner and are not retained by us. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat / Google Play — subscription management and billing
- Cloudflare — exercise video delivery (CDN)
4. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This action is immediate and irreversible.
5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and data
- Request a copy of your data (contact support)
- Withdraw consent at any time
6. Children's Privacy
ASM Fitness is intended for adults only. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that a minor has provided data, we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encryption at rest). No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we apply reasonable safeguards.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified inside the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
